Huiming Song: The Environment in China is Deteriorating Continuously

The environmental pollution problems in China are becoming more and more obvious. The officials in all levels of Chinese government keep on ignoring protection of environment to seek for lager output and efficiency. Moreover, they even allow some industries to pull waste water, gas and solids directly into the natural surroundings. After these years, the environment in China is deteriorating continuously. In this area, there are a series of environmental and ecological crisis: decrease of glaciers, disconnection of waters, shrink of lakes, disappearance of water lands and expansion of desserts.
At some regions in China, people’s living circumstances are worsening gradually. The severance of the situation is shocking: the sources of waters become dirty; vegetables and fruits look beautiful at surface but are poisonous for eating; infectious disease and malignancies grow in number.
China has most broad, severest and most influential areas of environmental pollution and ecological destruction which has reached the baseline of environmental security. The Chinese government should be responsible for the severe problems of environment pollution. In addition, they must emphasize environment protection unconditionally. Consequently, the protection of environment and the benefit of human beings will be confirmed.
