In the autocratic society of China, people have no right to present their opinions openly, especially suggestions and critics on the government, no matter it is article or speech. People can only praise the government against their will. If the government officials find some threatening talks, the people will face punishment or even the charge of endangering the society. In today’s China, all voices are seriously restricted.

There is no speech freedom in Chinese society, which is due to the autocratic system. Though the law in China prescribes that people have the rights of speech freedom, it’s just on paper. The government’s behavior of speech control is opposite to a democratic and civilized society. Everyone needs speech freedom mandated by the heaven. Because we are all free and equal. As long as we are equal, we should respect each other. The prerequisite for mutual respect is letting everyone enjoy the rights of speech freedom.
