Ying Guo: The Birth Control Policy Completely Contracts Human Rights Ideal

Since age 70s of last century, Chinese government started to implement the birth control policy. Any woman daring to resist the policy will suffer fines and a series of punishments. Many departments of birth control in local governments openly compel women to accept abortion and miscarriage as ways to oppress population. Abortion, miscarriage and so on not only persecuted the bodies and spirits of Chinese women, but also cause difficulties to their future pregnancy.

The birth control policy was aimed at controlling birth rates, but it has now become an instrument for local government officials to collect money. For years, “Birth Control” as a fundamental national policy brings tremendous negative effects as well as oppresses birth rate. The birth control policy totally contracts human rights ideal and must step down the historic stage as soon as possible.
