In the Constitution of China, the firs term on citizens’ political rights is the speech freedom. The term prescribes that every people has the rights to speak freely. As a matter of fact, Chinese people have no speech freedom presently. If a person loses the rights to express his or her hopes and opinions, the person will certainly become a slave or tool.

China has the one-party dictatorship of CCP and the government’s power expands without any supervision and restriction. The officials’ greedy desire for money forms a incompatible contradiction to people’s resistance. More and more rights defending incidents of ordinary people appear and increasing numbers of people participate. The government of China takes strict measures to censor and block the internet, in order to maintain the so-called “Stability”. However, the anticipation of internet users to take part in social events has made some of them possible to circumvent the blocks, put the unfairness they suffered onto the internet and utilize the internet to defend their rights. The other initiative taken by the Chinese government is controlling the mass media, such as newspapers and broadcasts. These Medias are not allowed to cover incidents of people defending their rights, not even to mention negative reports.

The media in China should report the social reality objectively, critic the corruptive system, blame the inability of government and uncover officials corruption. Opening the speech freedom and press freedom internally will promote the democratic in China reform as well.
