Yali Li: The Corruption not Eliminated in China, People Never Live Peacefully
李亚黎(Yali Li)
For years the form of corruption in Chinese society has changed many ways. The “Reform and Open up” has produced lots of effects in the economy of China. However, the problems of officials’ corruption are becoming increasingly serious, the form is changed and new directions of progress appear. From individual corruption to collective corruption, from simply eat, drink, take and desire to now take advantage of legal process to cover their illegal deeds. The officials in village, town, city, at all levels all do corruption. The number of corruptive officials keeps on ascending. The amount of money corrupted enlarges continuously. All of these show that the anti-corruption work done by Chinese government not only fails, but also causes a lot of problems.
The corruptive officials in China use the power in hands to achieve personal wealth, do deal between money and power and use power for individual benefits. Some corruptive officials don’t behavior accordingly to their positions and neglect or fake their work. Laws and rules mean nothing to them. They even allow their relatives to accept bribes. They act as the protective shield for their relatives who may do business.
Somr corruptive officials even infringe people’s legal rights for individual interest. They use the power as privilege, taking laws as tool to oppress people. Corruptive phenomena have reached the edge of explosion. The facts have proved, corruption not eliminated in Chinese society, people never live peacefully.
