Hong Cheng: Sustaining a Good Environment Accords with the Benefits of Human Beings

In order to sustain the high increasing speed of economy, Chinese government use the importance of keeping economy the centre as reason to oppose appeals of ameliorate environment. For these years, the economy has developed in China, but the environment in this region has severely deteriorated. Diseases accelerate the transmission under the increasingly bad environment and has serious threatened the body health of Chinese people. In many areas of China, the food is not safe, water resources are polluted and air contains poison. The fundamental cause for all environment problems is the deficiency in Chinese government’s policy.

International community and international environment protection organizations demand Chinese government to make initiatives on environment protection. If the Chinese government keeps on ignoring environment protection and lacks effective policies on environment protection, China will become a region full of large-scale, deeply harmed and influential environment pollution and ecology destruction. We appeal Chinese government to emphasize environment protection, because sustaining a good environment accords with common benefits of all human beings.
