Yinmei Huang: Let Chinese People Have Rights of Speech Freedom

The situation of speech freedom in Chinese society has not improved in accord with the development of economy in China. CCP government strictly limits the spread of negative information in order to maintain so-called social stability. No matter media and press, or the talks of ordinary people, the government demands the media to repot more about positive news. The ignorance of sadness and reveal of happiness has made the government officials only able tolerate preferable words and compliments. All these force ordinary people to speak against their true hearts. How can a society like this be a harmony society and a civilized society?

Speech freedom is the basic human rights of people. The government has no rights to deprave the speech freedom of people. If people’s speech freedom is oppressed, they won’t dare to speak out the truth. Walking towards democracy is the certain result of history for Chinese society. Only by opening up speech freedom in China can the people have rights of speech freedom and truly promote Chinese society to the direction of civilization and progress.
