Yu Zheng: Don’t Restrict People’s Speech Freedom

People have the speech freedom. Press has the rights to truly and objectively report all social problems. This is an important sign for a democracy society. However, in the society of China, all media is under the control of government. The government also sets up limitations on people’s talks. The government wants more positive news.

People in contemporary Chinese society only have access to news in magazines, newspapers and TV programs which have been strictly censored by government. All information is always applauding the government for establishing a “Harmony Society”, which is never objective and justice on socials problems. Ordinary Chinese people are deceived by lies of government for long.

The speech freedom is basic human right, but it’s ruthlessly depraved by the government. I hereby as a China Democracy Party member, appeal for Chinese government to stop limiting people’s speech freedom and give back the rights to all the people.
