Lv Dong: Appeal for the Chinese Government to Stop Discriminating Korean Ethnic People

I am of Korean ethnic from northeast China. According to the separation done by Chinese government, we Korean people are always regarded as “Minority Ethnic”. For many years, government of China keeps on claiming to protect minority ethnics from policy aspect, such as: employment and enrollment priority of minority workers and students. However, the truth turns out totally opposite side. We Korean people suffer discrimination from Han ethnic for ling and we have the highest unemployment rate and Korean students experience highest school drop-out rate.

Nowadays, we Korean people many lose their jobs and can’t make the end meet for our living. The government of China hasn’t guaranteed our basic human rights as a minor Korean ethnic.

Overseas Korean ethnic people like me appeal the government of China to stop discrimination over Korean ethnic and respect our special culture and living ways. The economy in regions of Korean ethnic need to be improved, so that all Korean minority can enjoy a better life by having rights of employment, living, education and speech freedom.
