Dewei Liang: Appeal for Chinese Government to Open Up Speech Freedom Completely

The government of China limit the speech freedom and control the overwhelm internet. Nowadays, the space for speech freedom is really narrow in China. Internet has become an important point of control and supervision for Chinese government.

Under CCP’s high pressure of CCP’s autocracy, less and less people dare to say the truth. The different voice on internet is no seen either. Open and equal critics and article are not published on media. The truth has proved that conditions for speech freedom in China haven’t changed to the better direction. The feature of one party-dictatorship is a lack of speech freedom in the Chinese society. There can only exist one voice coming from the so-called “Central Party”.

From the past to today, when a government use power to squelch the speeches, the freedom of speech will be damaged significantly. Contemporarily, the human civilization has developed to the comprehensive open up. Therefore, we strongly protest Chinese government’s restrictions over speech freedom and appeal for a overwhelm open up of speech freedom.
