Zhang, Shuai: Appeal for Chinese Government to Stop Censorship on Internet

Chinese government has the most advanced technique in internet blockade in the world. Lots of facts have proved that Chinese government not only strictly block internet information, but also uses severe methods to lock up the internet. In recent years, it also implements censorship on internet. It threats and forces some internet companies to sign internet information censoring contract. Government of China says “Rule Nation by Laws” in words, bur use vile means to oppress speeches on internet and block the internet. Under these conditions, how can internet speech freedom be confirmed? How can people’s speech freedom be guaranteed?

Chinese society urgently calls for opening up internet and speech freedom. Only then can government and people communicate effectively. We hereby sincerely appeal for Chinese government to stop censorship on internet, open up internet completely and give people speech freedom.
