Zhu, Yamin: Multi-party System Can Give More Space to the Development of Chinese Society
As we all know, one-party dictatorship brings lots of disadvantages to the society, such as the integration of party and administration, lack of restriction on officials’ power and coming up of corruption and bribery. Nowadays, corruption is a serious problem in society of China. The strange part is that, on one side, CCP knows that one-party dictatorship keeps on creating corruptive officials and it will be a sign of their death if one-party dictatorship is not abolished; on the other side, CCP stick to its one-party dictatorship.
It is not that pessimistic on problems in Chinese society. Human beings are able to change the world. CCP should realize the problems existing in one-party dictatorship and go along with the trend of human history and people’s wishes. When it progresses with the times and promotes democratic political reform, China can have a new life. Once democracy and multi-party system is implemented in China, CCP can truly be a democratic party. As a result, Chinese society will have more space for development.
