Zhu, Yamin: The Incident of Poisonous Milk has Stroked Alarm Bell for Food Safety in China
The milk powder made by a famous factory Three-deer has melamine inside, which causes death of thousands of babies after they drink the milk from it. The babies can’t absorb it and finally have the disease kidney. Several even die from the kidney. The poisonous milk incident has shocked the whole world from the internal and external communities. After a detailed detection, many other dairy companies also add too much melamine into the milk powder just as the Three-deer.
In dealing with serious food safety accidents, the CCP authority always chooses to hide the truth until they can never cover it. When the incident can’t be handled anymore, they are forced to come out and fire several officials to solve the problem. Nowadays, CCP officials still do embezzlement in spite of the livings of ordinary people. As a result, the poisonous milk incident becomes a tragedy of the century.
The Three-deer incident has knocked the alarm bell for the food safety problems in China. If the problems are not solved fundamentally, Chinese society will collapse sooner or longer. The reason is simple. A society without rationality will absolutely determine the extinction of the political power.
