Zhang, Zongping: Only Democracy System Can Restrict Corruption

In recent years, increasing Chinese government officials and other people are involved in corruption. The phenomenon of corruption has nothing to do with the position of the officials. Once having power, people will naturally control power to make deal with money and do collusion. Large scale of corruption happens in China. Especially at aspects of construction, land administration and mine development, the corruption is becoming more and more serious.
Corruption happens mostly on Chinese government officials. Form higher to lower levels, everyone is participating in corruption. This phenomenon doesn’t just come up recently. It started since the establishment of CCP’s regime. In the six decades, though CCP keeps on saying that corruption has threatened their regime, the force to strike corruption still stays on the surface. The corruption can’t be eliminated fundamentally.
Nowadays, Chinese government is desperate to build a clean and responsible image. They have decided to strengthen the force to solve corruption. The media has exposed more cases of Chinese officials using the power to corrupt, embezzle and fall. The media points out after analysis that these actions can only make up for what already happened. If Chinese government doesn’t start a systematical reform, it can’t eliminate the increasingly fierce corruption.
