Li, Tingjun: The Environment Problems in China are So Worrying

Chinese people are so worried about environment problems. Though economy has improved, there are dirt in the air and ugly smell in water. Environment problems have caused more and more concerns in the society. Lots of local governments in China only pay attention to economy development. They only pursuit productivity and efficiency and ignore protection over environment. Waste water and gas are excluded directly out. The air, river and lake are polluted, which threat the health and safety of people living around rivers and lakes.

The population in Chinese area is so large and the economy is developing so quickly. This region has become a severely polluted area. Chinese government must be aware of a truth that serious environment problems can trigger earthquake, drought, flood and other natural disasters. Improving the environment protection awareness of people and enforcing environment protection investment are such an important work for Chinese government.
