Xue, Aiqin: The Environment Problems in China Make People Worried

The increasingly severe environment problems in China have caused focused attention from international community and the environment protection organizations. They require Chinese government to emphasize environment protection, release legislations on the protection and strengthen environment protection laws, not only pay attention to the economy development. Especially before the 2010 World Expo, Chinese government should take some effective initiatives before hosting this event. Moreover, the demands for more importance putting on environment from Chinese government come from the international community more and more.
The environment pollution problems and food safety accidents keep on appearing, which lead to serious social problems and deeply influenced the lives and body health of ordinary people. There are rare people in Chinese government and among government officials pay attention to the weak minority. Contemporary China has polluted air and unclear water which can’t reach the standard. Therefore, strengthening environment protection laws and capital investment are the indispensable responsibility of Chinese government.
