Qingmei Lin: Speech Freedom is Our Rights Given by God

Speech freedom is everyone’s rights given by the god. Any person or any organization can’t deprave a person’s speech freedom rights using any reason. People in a democratic society have rights of speech freedom. Their speeches are not restricted, so it’s easy to communicate and get on with. In Chinese society, the government limits people’s speech freedom and lines up a boundary for people’s speeches. The government considers speech freedom capable of disturbing the stability and solidarity of this society. It forbids people from criticizing government and not allows people to comment on the government officials. It strictly controls people’s speeches.

People need speech freedom, just as all lives needing air, sunlight and water. People once have speech freedom; they will have conditions to say true words, oppose lies and ameliorate morality. Today’s Chinese society needs civil progress. It should firstly solve problems of speech freedom, open up speech freedom and give people space to put up different opinions. Moreover, the media can be completely opened up.

Chinese government should ameliorate the socials system and abolish party bans. A democracy reform is necessary. Implementing a multi-party rule democracy political system is an effective way to ameliorate speech freedom.
