Jiang, Xiaoping: Chinese Society Must Step onto Democracy Path
江小平(Jiang, Xiaoping)
In all these years, though the economy of China has developed so fast, Chinese society still has o democracy and freedom. There is no legislation and essential supervision on government officials’ power from ordinary people. Nowadays, many regions in China have become wealthy. Many people become rich. These phenomena are founded on an extremely unequal and unrighteous basis, because the majority of Chinese population is not rich yet. They live in poverty, can’t go to school and have not money to pay medical expense. Some people living below the destitution line can’t even feed their stomach and keep their bodies warm.
Ordinary Chinese people have to tolerate the depravation and oppression from all levels of CCP government officials. The officials use all names to collect and rob from people. They plot collusion with real estate developers. To reach personal benefits, they start many constructions and violently evict people from their houses. Besides, lands are unreasonably confiscated at an extremely low price and with compensation really having really low portion to the true value. The real estate businessmen then build commercial houses at high price and sell these expensive houses back to people. As a result, the poor keep on living a miserable life while the rich keep on collecting money. The government is helping make this vicious cycle of polarization.
Chinese people have no election rights. They can’t decide whether the administration government should be on stage or be ousted. They can’t decide the delegation of officials either. Chinese people don’t have speech freedom. How can they supervise government? How can they uncover the illegal deeds of officials? Chinese people have woken up and should be awake. They should strive for their democratic rights and acquire Chinese society to step onto democracy path.
