Guo, Chunhua: China Must Abolish Birth Control Policy As Soon As Possible

The birth control policy has been made up for almost three decades. In administrating the policy, government uses violent initiatives. These actions show the violent nature of autocracy. The basic premises of birth control policy are against natural rules. For many years, the birth control policy in China has led to severe consequences: The population structure loses balance. The age structure is deteriorating. The sex inequality is caused by discrimination over girl and boy. The problem of the aging population becomes more obvious. The body and mind health of single children is the burden on the social development of China.

The birth control policy has created conditions for the power enlargement of local government. Government officials use the power to further control the people. They waste large amount of tax payers’ money and provide convenience for officials to corrupt and embezzle. The birth control policy also openly persecutes human rights and tramples lives. This policy shouldn’t continue any more. Seen from any aspect, the birth control policy is ravaging humanity and human rights. It must be abolished as soon as possible.
