Kong, Zhihao: Government Elected by People Can Protect People’s Benefits
孔志浩(Kong, Zhihao)
China is the nation with largest population in world, but people in poverty occupy the majority. Chinese government doesn’t make policies according to the actual needs of the weak minority, which leads to the hard life of all ordinary people. More workers are laid off and more peasants lose arable lands. Contemporary Chinese are dissatisfied with the evil deeds of CCP authority and have different opinions on CCP governments’ actions. However, they have no place to express their opinions and can’t criticize CCP and CCP officials either.
Protecting Chinese people’s benefits can’t count on the reports of media or speeches of CCP officials, neither on promises of Chinese government. It should be done practically. People’s houses are torn down and they are evicted out onto the streets. Petitioners are arrested, sentenced and even tortured. Though it says protecting people’s benefits so moving, how can it be useful?
Whether government can represent people and truly protect people’s benefits have to depend on the question whether this government is elected by people or not? Chinese people have the rights to elect their own government and officials.
