Chen, Jiulong: Ameliorate Human Rights, Do as Said
Human rights in China always attract attention from international community. People who love peace, democracy and human rights expect to use 2008 Olympics as an opportunity to push Chinese government to ameliorate human rights. International community should appeal Chinese government to ameliorate human rights in order to strive for their basic rights. The government should release rights defenders, dissents and religionists. Meanwhile, it must gradually upgrade lives of large numbers of people in poverty.
CCP government always infringes Chinese people’s human rights severely. After winning the chance to host 2008 Olympics, it didn’t accomplish its promises to ameliorate human rights. On problems such as dissents, religionists and rights defenders, none of them have human rights. At this aspect, China has shown no progress on human rights. On the contrary, there is even recession. It strengthens controls on petitioner and arrests dissents. When concentrating on human rights situation in China, international community should promote the spread of ideas respecting human rights and realization of speech freedom. Speech freedom is the promise made by Chinese government before Olympics. By doing all these, government can win its credits.
