Ding, Baolai: Chinese Government Should Regard Environment Problems Seriously

In today’s China, air pollution is serious. Drinking water in some areas can’t reach the standard. Food safety accidents happen every few days. China has become a region with largest and deepest scale of environment pollution and ecology destruction, which has approached the bottom line of international environment safety.

China is a country with large population and is a region developing so fast in economy. Three decades ago, to develop environment, it made a mistake in policies: Centered on economy construction. The long term ignorance of environment protection has left many disadvantages to the work of preserving the nature. The environment pollution in China constitutes a threat to all human beings. Chinese government which administrates a huge nation with developed economy and population should regard environment problems seriously and truly becomes a government responsible for environment.
