Zhou, Guangqiang: No Autocratic System, No Rights Defending Activities
In contemporary China, rights defending activity and CCP’s political system go hand in hand. If there is no autocratic system, there is no right defending activities. We can say that rights defending activities are caused by CCP’s political system without democracy and freedom. The slogan “Officials not representing people should go back home to sell sweet potatoes” popular in a feudal society is already out of time in mainland China. All levels of leaders in CCP government have reached extreme degree. Corruption is ordinary among CCP officials. The differences are only between the amounts of their power. Those with more power corrupt more than those with less power. All officials are corruptive.
It’s impossible for China to deal with the popular corruption under contemporary political system or relying on existing discipline inspection. To solve all these phenomena of corruption, the government must reform its political system. There are no other effective pills to treat the disease! Therefore, to restrict the development of rights defending activities, the only way is to start political reform and establish a political system respecting democracy, freedom, human rights and legislation in China.
