Chen, Yishui: Chinese Government Must Give Up Its Censorship on Internet

In recent years, Chinese government came up with endless censoring means and punishing initiatives on internet. It even organizes a team of internet supervising team with professional techniques. By kidnapping website names, infiltrating key words, blocking IP and other methods, it eliminates bans, blocks and stops “harmful information” recognized by the government. “Harmful information” includes democracy, freedom, human rights and legislation. Other requirements such as implementing democratic political system in China, opening up media freedom and speech freedom are also censored.
Nowadays, internet has connected to thousands of families in China. It plays an important role in promoting democracy, freedom, human rights and legislation. It also assists economy development and tightens China’s connection with the world. I am a China Democracy Party member. I strongly protect Chinese government’s blockade on internet and demand an opening up of internet in China.
All facts have proven that CCP government’s control and blockade of speech and media has fell into a dilemma. All its means fail completely. A democratic China with genuine reports, opened internet and speech freedom will come.
