Shi, Yulan: Ameliorating Human Rights Calls for Government’s Endeavour
石玉兰(Shi, Yulan)
In Chinese society, because government doesn’t respect human rights, protecting human rights is never mentioned. The basic human rights of many Chinese people are not guaranteed. Some local governments and officials create persecution incidents frequently. Chinese people start to strive for their human rights and appeal to higher government for their justice. They want government departments to justify their rights.
At some places of China, the food security incident and mine accidents always appear. When there is large toll of death due to safety accidents, government officials and the people in charge of related industries do not think about rescuing people incidentally, but consider how to make up a lie to cover and distort truth.
The local governments and officials violating laws has become a severe situation. No matter how hard people’s life is, they use high pressure methods to treat people, confiscate lands and violently destruct houses. Countless injustice appears. People have no way to justify their rights. All these finally develop into confliction and opposition between officials and people. All facts have shown that ameliorating human rights in China needs time and calls for government’s endeavor as well. It needs a better system to accomplish it. This way is long and the burden is still heavy.
