Ding, Fugui: China Should Take the Responsibility of Protecting Environment

The environment protection in China has many problems. As government, it should have responsibilities can’t be rejected. Chinese government should understand one principle that protecting environment can’t merely rely on improving people’s awareness and place all hope of environment protection on people’s morality. Government should propose serious legislation on environment protection and make out laws and policies of protecting environment. The purpose is to protect nature, protect lands and protect the environment. The ultimate goal is to protect us human beings.
Laws and policies made by nation, which can effectively promote people’s awareness of environment protection, should center on environment. Why responsibility is emphasized on problems of environment protection? An obvious reason is that environment has limitation as itself. There is only one earth and resources are limited. We also have limited space allowed to be polluted, so environment problems will certainly relate to the justice and equality of human beings and government’s responsibility.
Protecting environment is the collective goal of all human beings. Human should act together for this. However, facing many threats and dangers caused by environment problems, China as a economy giant should act more as so.
