From the humanity point, everyone has pecuniary desire, which is the weak point for human life and this is normal. The key point is that how to abstain from this weak point and control the desire. If the power of the government and officials is not under surveillance and control, it will endanger the society, the citizens and the corruptive officials themselves.
China is a society of CCP’s autocracy, which not only hinders the process of both morality and civilization but also makes the government officials corruptive rapidly. Autocratic power is out of control, making officials corruptive rapidly, which is the common fault of all autocratic societies. Under autocratic system, the officials can do whatever they want without hearing the criticisms from the citizens and monitoring from media and public opinions.
The root of the corruption is that the system within Chinese society is not either under supervision or under the legislative control. It is very difficult to achieve the effectiveness of anti-corruption, in a sense, it is a disguised protection to corruptive officials if not taking measure to fight against corruption from system level but rather combating corruptive affairs only, in other words, the combat can be done or cannot be done especially to some special officials depending on whether they are obedient or not, which is the reason why the Chinese anti-corruption hardly hit the target. Only by democracy reform and the foundation of multiparty system can corruption problem be confined thoroughly.
