Wang,Xiaoqiang: Economic Reform in China Has Made Chinese People Pay A Heavy Price
王小强(Wang,Xiaoqiang )
Economic reform in China has been implemented for several decades. What is the result? Living standard of the majority of Chinese people has not been improved much. They still live in poverty, without their own houses and work. Students can not afford tuition while average people can not afford their medical expenses. They have to stay at home and wait for death when they are sick. Economic reform in China has made people living on the bottom of society born heavy burden.
Due to city reform in China, people were relocated by force after their houses were demolished violently. Factories were closed because of bankruptcy, therefore, workers are out of jobs. Area of poverty spreads out; number of people in poverty rises rapidly.
Finance reform in China has made many people’s deposit in bank and personally purchased stock devalued tremendously, which will be close to value of wasted paper very soon.
Because of rural reform, land of farmers was expropriated; environment was polluted. Chinese farmers are losing their land for survival step by step and reduced to cheap people in cities, a vulnerable group to be bullied at any time. Reform of state-owned assets converted government officials into millionaires as private business owners while ordinary people were turned into jobless paupers.
Several decades years’ reform in China has created tremendous wealth gap and irreconcilable conflicts. Thousands of group protests happen in different places every year. At present, facing moral bankruptcy, Chinese culture, faith, loyalty and charity is gone forever. Chinese Communist authority has made Chinese people pay a heavy price.
