Song,Jimei: A Multi-party Political System in Power is The Only Solution to Serious Corruption

Since Chinese reform and open policy, the corruption has become more and more severe. Anti-corruption has become the key point in government work. The phenomena of embezzlement and corruption fail to be prohibited repeatedly, which makes people heartbroken. The corruption and concept of “establishing a highly honest and effective government”, proposed by the CCP, is completely contradictory to each other. Serious corruption not only damages stability of Chinese society, but also influences life quality of Chinese people. In addition, it shocks the fairness, justice, culture and morals concepts deserved by the Chinese society.
We cannot say that the Chinese government has not fought against corruption strongly. Furthermore, we cannot say the Chinese government is not determined to combat corruption. However, why there is no substantial result after so many years’ effort in anti-corruption? Moreover, phenomenon of government officials’ cheating behaviors, deceiving both the superior and inferior, is more and more widespread. The more corruption is fought, the more severe corruption comes into being. Only by figuring out the resource of corruption can the spreading of corruption be inhibited.
At present, totalitarian regime is the source of corruption. Under autocratic system, the Chinese society is short of legal system with fairness and justice. In addition, it lacks relative authority supervision organization and system. Authority without restraint leads to corruption definitely. Therefore, the only way to solve the serious corruption problem in China is to establish a multi-party political system based on democracy and freedom.
