Li, Yuming: The Chinese Government Must Control Environment Pollution Seriously

The Chinese environment protection is short of strength in concrete action. Even though there is relevant legislation, there is no strict implementation. As a result, the Environment Protection law exists only in name.Facing severe environment pollution, effective control and management becomes empty blabber.
For the sake of political achievements, many Chinese officials focus only on financial benefits, dumping waste water, gases, residue into the natural environment directly without treatment, which leads to widespread pollution. The polluted environment has threatened the sustainable development and public health conditions for so many years.
Improving efficiency in energy consumption, controlling and managing the environment, and protecting the environment is our target. As a big economic country in the world, the Chinese government should enlarge capital input in environment protection and bear the responsibility as deserved to strictly control environment pollution and protect the earth.
