Ban, Jincheng: the Chinese Public Need Democracy and Freedom
班金成(Ban,Jincheng)
In an ideal society, the government enables every citizen to lead a happy and healthy life, allows every social neighborhood, social group and party to exist and develop freely, and makes everyone possess a sense of satisfaction from living in a free society. Such a society is the one with democracy and freedom. For thousands of years, the Chinese people have longed for a free society, pursued happy life, and expected a wise leader to appear. However, year after year, generation after generation, the expectation and waiting has brought only disappointment and unlimited suffer.
Experience of countries with democracy and freedom in the world tells us that autocratic authoritarian rule does not provide a wise ruler, an autocratic society does not and cannot possess a wise governor. In contemporary China, the reality is long-term autocratic rule of the CCP. There will be a very difficult process for the Chinese society to transfer from the CCP’s autocratic rule to a society based on democracy and freedom.
The Chinese public needs democracy and freedom. The Chinese people are unwilling to be citizens under the autocratic domination of the CCP. The Chinese citizens need to enjoy human rights in a society with freedom, democracy, human rights and laws. In order to reach this target, the only way is to terminate the autocratic rule of the CCP and realize a democratic political system with multi-party execution.
