Zhou,Zemin: Supervision Right is The Key to Solve Corruption
周泽民(Zhou,Zemin)
At present, Chinese officials, in spite of their ranks, utilize all opportunities and methods to gain property and exchange power with money as long as they have power in hand. Government officials call themselves “servant of the public” all the time and say they serve the people. However, in fact, they endanger and plunder the common people everywhere.
As long as a common people sets up a stall or open a small restaurant to make a living, some officials will definitely come over to gorge them in name of examination. One way they use is disguised penalty. The other way is consuming there free of charge. The owners do not dare to offend them and cannot tell their bitterness of suffering. I once opened a restaurant in China, so had personal experience and understanding.
Many Chinese people know officials are corrupted and also understand it is due to their unstrained power, which originates from the unsupervised autocratic regime. Only by implementing reform on the system and establishing multi-party execution in turns, which will make authority supervised, can solve the current severe corruption problem in China.
