Chinese people in the autocratic China, have no basic human rights for long. Many people do not have the minimum conditions for survival. China is currently one of the worst human rights records countries in the world.
The Chinese Government has consistently violated human rights. But in the international conference on human rights, Chinese government has been sanctimonious and as bold as brass to talk about its contribution for international human rights. This is not only stain to the concept of human rights, but also a great irony to the United Nations Human Rights Council. If a government with so terrible human rights, how will the world’s human rights look forward to the future?

In the world’s democratic countries, the basic characteristics are that people have human rights. People with human rights can take part in the country’s polity and the management of the government. This is a democratic right which people should enjoy in democratic countries. No human rights, no democracy. Human rights are the starting point of democracy.
The Chinese government must establish the civilization theory that human rights are more important than any other concept of modern civilization. Respect and protect human rights and take advantage of 2008 Olympic Games to improve human rights are without delay.
