Zhang, Shuli: No Government Can Deprive People’s Freedom of Speech
张淑丽(Zhang,Shuli)
The Chinese government set up a forbidden area for public speeches, which means you cannot talk any sensitive political issues, cannot comment on the government officials’ jobs, cannot put forth any advice and criticism; No matter what the government says, the people have to follow it. Otherwise, the government will judge you as the one that “jeopardizing social stability”; if more serious, you will be arrested, interrogated, sentenced and be put in jail.
Over sixty years, the Chinese people live in a society without freedom of speech, the basic human rights were deprived completely. The freedom of speech is endowed by nature, therefore, the government cannot use any excuse to deprive a person’s freedom of speech, just like all the living creature in this world need Ample sunshine, air and water. The Chinese government must allow people to publish their different opinions freely, open the door of freedom of speech and open the freedom of media. Only in this way, it can promote the progress and civilization of China.
