Li, Shigang: Autocracy is the Protection Umbrella of the Chinese Officials

With autocracy, the Chinese society implements high pressure in politics. The common people do not have human rights and freedom in speech. In autocratic China, the officials do not care about laws, and ignore ordinary people’s hard life. All they do from the morning to the evening everyday is drinking, eating, corrupting, and embezzling. Under the control of the government, mass media such as newspaper journal and TV often reports good news and ignores the bad news, always using lies to belie truth of some social problems. The CCP government tries every means to create a harmonious phenomenon in the Chinese society.
The current China does not have a real opposing party. It does not have independent judicial power and independent news media. The Chinese government persistently sticks to one-party dictatorship and insists on monopoly of political authority. Autocracy is the biggest barrier for the Chinese government to fight corruption.
The Chinese society will never have fairness and justice if the autocratic system is not changed. Only by giving up autocracy and implementing democracy can every Chinese becomes wealthy and can China become a harmonious society with civilization and morality.
