Zhou, Baozhen: Promote Social Progress towards Democracy and Freedom in China

Since the reform and opening up, although China has achieved obvious economic successes, too many problems have accumulated in China. Today, even though China does not have external danger, it has scaring internal fear and worry, which will definitely bring external danger if not erased. Japan invaded China when China was in a fragmented state. Such historical and practical problems are essentially due to shortcomings of institution and low administrative capacity.
At present, concerning national stability, prosperity, national Renaissance, prospect of China and fate of China, the CCP authority still is blind to problems regarding the country’s political institution and government. The common people do not have human rights and freedom of speech. Officials corrupt and embezzle, doing whatever they want. Many citizens have lower and lower degree of trust in the executive party and government.
By now the Chinese people still have expectation on the government. The Chinese government should use this chance to bravely start political reform, reform the irrational autocratic regime, fiercely fight against officials’ corruption, correct social atmosphere, and control instable element from the source of unreasonable regime. Only by this way can the Chinese society to develop towards democratic freedom.
