Liang, Fenghua: The Family Planning Policy Must Be Abolished As Soon As Possible
梁凤华(Liang, Fenghua)
Family planning policy has 30 years history in China. The main objective, which understood by international human rights organizations on human rights issues, is to implement the "one child per couple”, and this is an extremely cruel and inhuman policy. There is no other country in the world has this kind of policy which allows such a comprehensive manner of brutal punishment, abuse and human rights violations.
Due to the idea of “value the male child only”, after the implementation of family planning policy 30 years ago, unborn baby girls in many parts of China were aborted, which result in a gender imbalance. This issue has aroused widespread international concern.
On September 25, 1980, China began to implement family planning policies. Concern and criticism from international community kept arising under this policy, which includes forced abortion, abortion, sterilization and sterilization. Judged by today’s situation, huge confusions and sequela had been brought by this against-law-of- nature policy to Chinese community and people, therefore, the family planning policy must be abolished as soon as possible.
