Liu,Minglan: Any of Governments Have no Rights to Monopolize Liberty of Speech

Chinese Constitution has clear rules that Chinese people have liberty of speech, but government enactments the scale of liberty of speech. Forbid negative report to national regime, forbid to criticize government and government officials and forbid any of complains to any of government’s decision. If you don’t obey, you will be in troubles. Criticize, fine or give lesson to you, or arrest and put you into jails. Some even are sentenced to jail in crime of overthrowing national regime.
Someone is sentenced to crime. This only happen is autocratic society like China. Liberty of speech is not privilege but natural right of human beings. None of government have rights to monopolize it, just like none of governments have rights to monopolize air, water and sunshine.
Today, Chinese government calls itself people’s government. It can’t trample people’s liberty of speech, and should open liberty of speech. Otherwise, how to prove it is people’s government? How to connect with the whole world?
