Liu,Minglan: At the mean time of Improving Economic Construction, More Attention should be paid to Environmental Protection

The Chinese government has been advocating promoting economic construction as the center. Over the years, such policy has contributed to economic development, which directly influences environmental pollution. Today, environmental pollution problem in China is becoming increa singly serious, which is due to the one-sided pursuit of economic efficiency and negligence on the protection of the environment. In a few short decades, China has become the most seriously environmentally polluted area on earth.
Serious environmental pollution has destructed human living environment, having a direct impact on human health. Chinese officials at all levels of government do not care about the protection of the environment and are slow in reaction. Some local government even has tolerated some industrial enterprises to release waster gas, waste water and solid waste disposal into the natural environment directly without treatment at first, which exacerbates environmental degradation. We must warn the Chinese government: At the mean time of Improving Economic Construction, More Attention should be paid to Environmental Protection.
