Wang， Xiaodong: Appeal for Chinese Government to Emphasize Environment Protection

The earth is a home to human beings, as well as all other animals and plants. Along with the economy development and the industry pollution, our planet is no longer a clean and beautiful earth. Garbage, waste water and polluted air are everywhere. The earth is becoming full of injures and wounds. The file has proven that China is the region with most severe environment pollution. As government of China, shouldn’t it regret itself on the deteriorating environment?
Nowadays, the ecological environment on earth is gradually deteriorating. Water resource and air have the most impact on human beings. Seen from related materials on environment protection, the drain systems in cities are mostly sealed. Cleaning and whitening chemistry has increased. The oxygen volume in water becomes lower and lower, which makes it impossible for fish to survive in rivers and lakes. The ecology balance in water has been seriously destroyed. Water resources are in danger, especially in China where there is the fastest growth of economy. Because of too frequent economic activities, much industrial and agricultural garbage is pulled into rivers and lakes. The limited available water resources in this area are polluted. We can see heart-broken data from the media. This is the cold truth of our polluted environment. This is the consequence of our pursuing economy interest regardless of the damages on environment.
The sky over our heads is not clear and blue anymore. We should realize the importance to protect our living environment. The earth under our feet becomes deserts. We will regret for not cherishing the nature at beginning. The once beautiful and green home is invisible now. Each year, the sand storm and extreme wind cover half of China. Taking the nation’s capital Beijing as example, we can see sands falling down like rain. We can’t help asking: who make all these happen? The answer is simple. It is the result of Chinese government’s lack of attention on environment protection.
In all these years, Chinese government ignores environment protection tasks to accelerate industry and agriculture development. The forests in Chinese areas are recklessly cut and pulled down. Many forests face fatal destruction. The ecological balance is overturned. Birds fly away. Animals lose homes. Soil and water disappear. The beautiful green clothes of the earth also vaporize. Large scales of deserts appear. However, Chinese government officials haven’t realized that our homes are severely destructed.
The lands need beautiful green. People need green. All human beings living on the earth need green. We hope Chinese government can emphasize environment protection. Let’s hold hands and link our hearts to create green environment together. Let’s make our earth bluer, water cleaner and the whole world more lovely and dynamic.
