The education administrative department of the Chinese government is a typical monopoly department; this kind of monopoly can’t be explained by the general market monopoly. The current monopoly of the education administrative department is mainly evidenced by the monopoly over education modes, education contents, students’ entry into higher schools, and the rights to enroll new students.

It seems that the fair Chinese education system in fact exists serious unfairness. The annual college entrance examination is known as the fairest education system in China. However, this so-called justice is just a surface phenomenon. Firstly, the allocation of the education resources is not balanced. There are huge differences among areas which makes the standard admission cutting score becomes an actual injustice. The second is the locational variation of the enrollment mark. As the college entrance examination greatly influences one’s fate, local education departments have to maintain their interests and gain benefits for the local district.

The education mode is badly deformed. The education administrative departments created an education standard and model for their own convenience and benefits. This makes the education system to have concerted action and generates a wide array of uncreative students who have no correct view of live and values. This is the greatest defects of the current Chinese education system.

It turns out the monopoly situation in this typical Chinese education system is terrifying and has serious consequences. The first step of the Chinese education system is to break the government’s monopoly on education.
