With the rapid development of the international internet, freedom of speech is endowed with new concepts and manifestation modes in this new age. Freedom of speech is fully implemented on this broader field of internet. To let people enjoy internet freedom of speech is a natural extending and development of freedom of speech. In spite of this, the Chinese government has been supervising the internet and doesn’t allow the populace to have freedom of publishing views and opinions on the internet.

Freedom of speech has many expressions; internet opinion is one of freedom of speech. It’s a basic right of citizens and it’s an object of protection. This kind of freedom is not to be violated or deprived by any government agencies or institutes.

People who enter the internet age can publish their opinions on the internet and with hundreds of thousands of netizens using the internet all over the world simultaneously, the fast delivery of information can be learned by other people in a short period. And others can also make quick response to info by convenient ways on the internet. There are no constraints of time and space for each other. As a result of this advantage, the Chinese government can have limitation on the internet on the grounds of social stability and security, and take all kinds of methods to filter information on the internet; they also established an audit system for internet contents. These actions are totally against Chinese people’s will and the Chinese demand the government to open the internet on a full scale.
