刘雄传(Liu, Xiongchuan)

For the past few decades, China’s human rights situation hasn’t been improved; many dissidents and religious people still face harassment, detention, and even imprisonment; the government has strict control over the media and public opinions; the common people are not allowed to have different voices. The Chinese government continues to ignore cries for improving human rights from international communities, and refuses to take action to improve China’s human rights situation.

The Chinese government repeatedly claims: “China’s human rights projects have already achieved historical progress, China’s human rights situation is in the best period in the history.” This is in fact a wording to cheat the international community.

Currently, the Chinese government still needs to strengthen and improve the human rights situation; the government is responsible for facilitating China’s human rights development and improving human rights has become an important job of the Chinese government. A good human rights condition is beneficial for the Chinese government to establish a new image on the international stage. We call on the Chinese government to make more efforts over the improvement of human rights conditions, show the measures and sincerity, and implement in real earnest the promise to the Chinese people and international community.
