Through the ages, the most disgustable thing the Chinese hate is Chinese government officials’ corruption issue. The source of the ineradicable corruption problem in Chinese society lies in the deficiencies of the political system. The deficiencies of the political system are mainly evidenced by a lack of effective balance and supervision in the system.

Government officials’ corruption phenomenon exists worldwide and it’s unavoidable, it’s only the extent of the corruption that makes the difference. However, there is no doubt that the corruption problem in today’s Chinese society is more severe than any other country in the world, government officials’ corruption situation is almost omnipresent, and this phenomenon is indeed thought-provoking.

The CCP’s one party system has been administering the Chinese society for a long time, which makes the reform of the political system lagging behind and the economic system reform still not complete; Public power lost its original supervision and control, it bypassed the law for a long time and resulted in the corruption situation overspread the Chinese society for decades. The fundamental way to eradicate corruption is to effectively supervise and control the public power held by government officials. To make this happen, a reform is needed to change China’s one-party autocracy so as to have a democratic system that can exercise democracy, freedom, human rights and rule by law in Chinese society.
