Chen,Jiming: Lack of Supervision in Government power will cause distribution inequality

In the short 10 years, the number of the rich and wealth in China has been increasing scores of times. This is China’s miracle, and a great leap in the amount of rich people. However, this is also 10 years of wider gap of wealth under this miracle.
By rights, it’s advisable to have a reasonable gap in the distribution of wealth, therefore by assigning wealth and resources to men of great ability, or letting people who have wealth to operate and manage the wealth, this will make the society and individuals get better resources in return and create more wealth to them. However, the gap of this distribution of wealth requires a bottom line, when it goes beyond this line, inequality situation will appear, and social conflicts and people’s opposition will rise which directly impact social stability.
The source of unequal distribution of wealth and wide gap of distribution is unlimited power which is not restricted as a result of the system. Chinese officials have unlimited power which lead to the power for rent phenomenon; it would definitely result in the exchange of right and money and the binding of money and power situation; the wealth in Chinese society gradually flows to the minority who has authoritative background.
If not reform the system that caused the wide gap of wealth distribution, and not supervise and control power systematically, China’s unequal distribution gap will be wider. Only the establishment of a democratic system in Chinese society can the problem of unequal wealth distribution be relieved and solved fundamentally.
