Hou,Chunhua: Power without control leads to corruption

Due to the one party system carried out in Chinese society for a long time, government manage officials like a family, which makes officials’ power lack necessary legal control and supervision, and gradually become a tool for corruption. Because power of CCP officials is not granted by the common people, but by superiors of CPC, their power is not possible to accept supervision and legal control of the common people.
The phenomenon is determined by the autocratic system, which is characterized by unlimited legal control, and made power out of control. This is the fundamental reason of the serious corruption phenomenon in Chinese society.
How Chinese government treat corruption is a hot potato for the present government. Strictly punish corruption cases and arrest corrupt officials will shake CCP’s dictatorship and threaten CCP’s ruling party power; under such condition, anti-corruption movements by CCP will never lead to good results.
