Huang,Jianbing:Anti-democracy nature of structural reform of politics advocated by CPC
黄剑冰(Huang,Jianbing)
Recently, the political field from top to bottom in China showed a wired situation. First is the number two in authority Wen,Jiabao lose no time in various occasions to call on democratic reform in politics over and over again, which create an impression to the outside world that China’s democratic reform of politics is about to come, people are masters of their country, freedom and democratic rights granted by constitution can be fulfilled, democratic politics which has universal value is approaching; yet later Xi,Jinping is by-elected as Vice Chairman of Central Military Committee, and the token Vice Chairman of the Military Commission of the state. The power arrangement is not by democratic election but by “senior politics”, which runs counter to the modern democratic politics. Coming on the heels is “The People's Daily” published articles in a row, which determine the nature of political reform, and conform to correct political direction, which throws cold water on people’s expectations of democratic political life.
Nowadays, the people's democratic dictatorship by CPC was no longer public servants to serve the people. CPC represents a small group of gainers of vested interests, corrupted bureaucratic group, and dictatorship tool for oppressing people. CPC has turned to the opposite side of people's democratic dictatorship out and out, which is the one-party autocracy. The clamored political reform is just a political show to deceive the public so as to build up a good reputation, with the aim to maintain its one-party dictatorship.
Living under such political structure makes rights and freedom granted by constitution and law a mere scrap of paper, people can’t express their opinions freely, “words prison” is a common method to oppress different opinions; press has no freedom, and there is no objectivity and fairness if there is no freedom of the press. Media has no supervisory function under the high-handed policy of CPC, and people can only speak insincerely. The phoenix website which is known for its justice and objectivity, turned a blind eye to Liu,Xiaobo’s Nobel Peace Prize; after Xi,Jinping is by-elected as Vice Chairman of Central Military Committee, to cater to the legality, it brought out news that “Chairman Mao praised Xi,Zhongxun a leader from people, which seems a supporting proof for Xi’s promotion. Is it really “like father, like son”? Or the people are easy to deceive? However, where are people’s election rights? The common people can only accept the fact and accept power arrangement by “senior government”. Xi,Jinping also said “power is granted by people”, isn’t this oppression of public opinion? This is a great sarcasm for democratic politics, and also grief for the whole nation.
Hence one can see that to implement a multi-party democratic system in Chinese society, the priority is to end the one-party autocratic system of CPC.
