Virus of corruption has penetrated in every nook and corner of Chinese society. It’s not that everyone wants to corrupt, the common people has no power, no assets to corrupt; while government officials have power to corrupt, laws lacks constraining force for officials, common people has no right to supervise officials. Thus caused the environment for spread of corruption.

Corruption and anti-corruption in China has become an obvious pair of contradiction in socioeconomic development. Construction of a clean and honest Chinese administration has been through several decades, which was spent in seesaw battle between “corruption” and “chastise corruption”.

Corruption has become a social issue for the entire nation. On one aspect is the economic trend, and personal traits of officials on the other hand, the more important is China for a long time doesn’t have an effective system to deter official corruption. Government is the framer of law, and also executor of law, which ultimately rely on oneself for supervision. Under such supervisory system, can officials not corrupt? Can Chinese society not corrupt on a large scale? To restrict corruption phenomenon, China has to learn from democratic countries, learn their democratic governance and matching legal system to supervise and control official power. Chinese government is people’s government, not for corrupt officials. Regardless of good official or corrupt official, they are all equal before the law. Who violates law should receive deserved punishment. Otherwise, He who digs a pit for others falls in himself.
