Xu,Xiuyong: We can’t forget the June 4th incident
徐秀勇(Xu,Xiuyong)
On the early morning of June 4, 1989, bloomy sound of tank tracks and harsh gunfire were sounded on the street of Beijing. A great number of students and civilians who demanded cracking down on corruption and implementing democratic reform were shot down. From the incident to now, to reckon on the fingers, 21 years have passed.
After 21 years, Chinese who has conscience and justice doesn’t forget those who lost their lives in the incident and those survivors who took part in the event. Every year around this time, we will have various forms to memorize the event. We call on the Chinese government to respect the history, to openly oppress the truth of June 4th event, to take responsibility, to make the dead rest, and comfort survivors; to make lights of democracy and freedom shine in China.
Chinese government today has tighter supervision over internet, and tougher audit means over internet contents, tight blockade for the truth of June 4 event, one-party autocracy of CPC controls government power, oppress freedom of speech and arrest those internet users who has different views; Chinese society can no longer maintain one-party autocracy, and a democratic, free, and rotating multi-party China is getting closer.
