Zhu,Xiaofeng:Chinese people don’t have freedom of speech for a long time

People live in China have no real freedom of speech, government doesn’t allow people to have second opinions, no one is allowed to criticize government or officials, otherwise, they would be investigated on the ground of undermining stability and unity; or worse, they would be arrested and taken custody for jeopardizing national security. People who live in democratic countries are totally different, they enjoy freedom of speech, they can criticize government and officials without reservation.
Freedom of speech is men’s natural right, and everyone has rights to speak out. This kind of rights is not granted by men or institutes, but unique of human beings, and inalienable basic rights.
Chinese people has lost freedom of speech for a long time, this is the grief of CPC. We call on Chinese government to open freedom of speech, allow people to enjoy freedom of speech, let people truly understand notions of democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law, justice and prosperity, and facilitate Chinese society to head toward civilization and advancement.
